you keep growing like a shadow

wanted to post about a little shop update i just did ~ my handmade mushies are for sale (in packs of 5) as well as a few little terrariums (i use vintage jars and tiny deer when i can find them, as well as real moss and tiny pinecones).

also wanted to let you know i'll be participating in the poppytalk holiday market starting next monday (november 22nd) and make sure to check out the current winter-themed market ~ there's some gorgeous stuff for sale!

ps - sweet brooke gave me the brilliant idea of making a winter postcard set and i'd love your help in choosing the final five ~ just comment here and if i end up using your suggestion you get a free set! thanks for your help!!

the hoyt arboretum is one of my favorite places in portland. it's huge and has amazing views and is gorgeous at any time of year. i try to make it over there at least once per season, and i hadn't been yet this autumn so i made a point of going this weekend (before it's officially winter!). and i swear i'm not obsessed with mushrooms, they're just everywhere here! plus they're just so cute, how can i not take pictures of them ;)

this week is all about updating my online shops with new goodies just in time for the holidays. i'm just crossing my fingers the sun comes out so i can get some decent product photos! hope you had a lovely, cozy weekend...

ps ~ if you're interested in purchasing any of my photos as prints just let me know, i'm happy to create custom shop listings!

dissolved in some dream as a new one appears

so. little winter. wow.

what an amazing, magical weekend. i'm so proud of abby and chelsea, and i feel so blessed to have been involved in their crazy, gorgeous, not-so-little handmade market. friday night west elm threw a lovely pre-party (champagne! cupcakes!), then starting saturday morning when we opened the doors it was absolutely packed until we closed them that night! woohoo!!! everyone was so kind and supportive, i got so much positive feedback i'm afraid my already-large head might have grown even more!

i made a new batch of pretty vintage scissors just for this sale and i sold all but one pair on the first day! i'll be restocking those in my online shop soon, as well as adding some of my little mushies and tiny terrariums. also, check out the fabric-covered bike chelsea and i made. that'll be going up in my shop too (as well as custom bike coverings!).

i could go on for hours about it, but really i just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. thanks to my sweet boyfriend who dealt with my huge crafty mess and being neglected while i frantically crafted up until the last minute, thanks to my supportive friends who offered to frantically craft with me :) thanks to jen and all the amazing helpers (lindee, sam, corey, etc), thanks to everyone who stopped and said hi or said something kind about my little creations (it still blows my mind that people want the things i've made in their homes ~ i love that!!) and especially thanks to chelsea and abby, not only curators of magic but my dear friends as well. ok, enough gushing. now go look at all the wonderful photos!

{ photos by and matt and myra callan (of twigs & honey) and little ocean annie (who did the sweetest blog post). two other posts i love: pia's right here (ahh! pia jane bijkerk knows my name!!!) and jen's right here (so great to finally meet you jen!) }
