my bright and brilliant spy
i haven't blogged in a bit because i kept wanting to write about more fun estate sale finds *or* gorgeous portland (again), and i don't want you guys to get sick of it! but today i can't stop myself, because... spring is definitely here!!!
i went for a walk specifically to take pictures of the flowers i've spotted popping up around our neighborhood, and i couldn't believe how many i found! cherry blossoms, crocus (purple and yellow), the sweetest tiny wild iris, rhododendron... anyone know what the tiny white ones or the pretty green ones are?
after 30 years of loooong, cold midwest winters, i don't know if i'll ever get used to spring in february. which i think is a good thing.
i made some pretty artwork today that i'm excited to share soon. hope you're having a wonderful week!
ps - did a little mushroom & moss vintage shop update over the weekend, including the most amazing fuzzy bird greeting cards!

I know how you feel I'm so happy while walking around and seeing all of the flowers and sunshine here in Portland it's just so exciting and beautiful.
I am so glad that spring is popping up in the form of flowers and blossoms! I am ready for it! Thanks for lunch today!!:)
i envy your pretty spring blooms and hope we'll get some, soon.
Such beautiful photos! I can't wait for Spring..
Cori-I'm SO jealous that your spring flowers are coming up! Some of my gardens are under 8' (yes, feet) of snow--drifts are that high in places. The door to my garden shed has a drift up to the top of the door. The pretty green flowers are helleboures (sp) which start blooming in the early spring & will continue blooming throughout the summer. One of my friends has them in her garden here & she's ordering me some-I'll need to find the perfect spot for them. They're relatively a new plant (perennial-so they come back every year--yeah!) They like light to heavy shade, so I have plenty of places to put them! Hope all is well with you. Thanks for giving me a glimps of springtime!!

oooh isn't it exciting to see spring popping up all around Portland - and it's been so lovely and warm!
Gorgeous photos! Thanks for bringing out the floral beauty of Portland...I lived in Bellevue, WA some years ago during the months of Sep-Apr...rarely saw the sun and used to draw one on the calendar on the days when it appeared. Moved back to the Midwest...Having also lived in NH for many winters, would have to say the Midwest is mild by comparison. Miss the beautiful scenery of the northwest though. There's always vacation! ;)
