i'm the moment between the striking and the fire
when i posted this picture my friend jade told me about the book curly girl (by lorraine massey) and how it would change my hair world. sounds cheesy, but she was right. i haven't shampooed my hair in about 8 weeks (instead you massage your scalp to get rid of buildup, and use tons of conditioner) and i'm really starting to embrace my natural curls (much easier now that i'm not in the ridiculously humid midwest). i'll keep you posted on the not-shampooing thing, so far it hasn't been an issue at all (even though it sounds scary), and i'm excited to expand my assortment of fun hair accessories as well (this one's a vintage brooch).
also, just wanted to say *thank you* for the feedback about my latest art piece. i really appreciate your thoughts :) hope you're having a wonderful week!

I am totally going to try that massaging conditioning thingy...
it sounds absolutely incredible. but so tempting...
I am very intrigued by your mixed-media art, and will return to you riste to track the progress. As for your hair, it's lovely - and if conditioner and massage are the answer, I now have a new beauty routine. Of course, living in the midwest it may not work:).
Sounds so interesting. I wonder if i could make my curls come out to play?
So much beauty in you..beautiful hair, beautiful face, pgotographs, writings, art work..everything is soso beautiful..we should all live a life filled with beauty...
Been doing the Curly Girl thing for years. LUV!!! Never knew my true hair was soooooooo.......curly........
Almost every day woman ask me if they can touch my hair and say they've always wanted my hair. :)
