i never did believe in the ways of magic but i'm beginning to wonder why

my cute polaroid camera makeover is featured on design*sponge today - what a lovely thing to wake up to! and yes, i did see the not-so-nice comment before it got deleted.

thankfully for me my sx-70 is so much more than a collector's item. it's the camera i use every day (all of the photos in this post, as well as nearly all of these were taken using this camera) so as far as "ruining it's value," it's already priceless to me as a tool of my art. in fact, i actually saw this project as a little expression of affection towards one of the absolute favorite things i own. it literally never leaves my side. anyway! thanks for all of the positive feedback as well as the concern, i appreciate almost any conversation that involves polaroid - and thanks to the impossible project hopefully these conversations will continue for much longer than we thought they might :)

on that note, if you're interested in purchasing any of my polaroid photographs as prints feel free to drop me a note or visit my shop. today i'll be taking a ton of pics of fun new vintage stuff to put up on mushroom and moss vintage (i see sun! better take advantage).

thanks for visiting, and hopefully that little rant wasn't too much. thanks again to grace, and have a wonderful week!

Congratulations on the feature! Love the new camera.

congratulations. your work is magical.

well, i think i commented at the time how beautiful i thought your make-over was. what was the not-so-nice comment? no matter. really, it's a little petty and pointless to be critical when presented with something of such beauty. hope it hasn't blighted your enjoyment of being on D*S, yay for you and your marvellous imagination and camera!

I saw that makeover on D*S this morning and was completely wowed by it, totally! Sucks that some people have to be so negative, but all that matters in the end is that YOU love it.

I actually just bought a reconditioned black sonar SX-70 from Polapremium, and even though the leather on mine is pristine at this point, I immediately started considering recovering it like you did!

i think your camera makeover is adorable. and i think your work is lovely. and i'll continue to applaud you accordingly! lovely lovely photos...

I loved your camera makeover, Cori. It was like making up some new duds for a little friend. An inspiration, to say the least.

Congrats on *DS! I would love to be featured, too :( Your camera is so adorable! I have a lot of vintage polaroids but none of them work, alas.....

Oh, I happened to see that! It was ADORABLE!!!
